1-2 pm: Conversation with Indigenous Korean shaman Mudang Jenn discussing ancestral spiritual practices within contemporary socio-political and diasporic contexts. Mudang Jenn will introduce and give deeper insight into her practice, work within the spiritual communities, and personal story.

2:30-5 pm Large-scale video projection using AI technologies will offer attendees personalized divination readings based on Mudang Jenn’s ancestral spiritual practices. Immersive video installations reimagining Mudang Jenn’s personal dreams and visions will be projected on all walls and the floor.

About Mudang Jenn: Jenn is a respected teaching artist, practicing mudang, and consultant on Muism– Korea’s ancient and enduring indigenous religion. Jenn communes with the gods, spirits and ancestors of our natural world to empower lives. Jenn sources her intuitive gifts, knowledge, and experience from her guides and spirits in order to spread compassion and awareness through her daily work as a spirit seer, communicator and healing artist. Her community-based praxis has been featured in The Huffington Post, Popdust, and elsewhere. Based in New York City, Jenn has provided expertise for Apple+’s Pachinko and other productions, as well as for researchers at Jeonbuk National University who are studying 21st century Muism and the Korean American diaspora.
